SPRING CONTEST 2014 - Update 3

 


Nature is awakening, so is FlowersClub!

Last winter, we did some maintenance operations coming with a few changes:

- the non-square flowers garden is now closed for good
- the painted flower garden will host every image format, digital or traditional
- there is a new area dedicated to cut flowers

The other gardens or spaces stay exclusively open to square flower images!

What is a square? Straight and simple, it's a (flat) shape with four equal sides and four 90° angles:

800 x 800 is a square
800 x 801 is not a square

1376 x 1376 yes
1376 x 1413 no

Nota : we are and will always be really picky about this square thing, be it about a single pixel!
don’t rely on your eye impression, only on the mathematical fact...

Our spring contest « YUR FAVRITE FLWER »!

Rules:

- only members can participate
- one submission per participant (exclusively PHOTOS, of your own, in a SQUARE FORMAT…)
- photos must have been taken after April 1, 2013 (don’t hide the camera data)
- photos with intrusive watermark will be declined

- the jury will be composed of ten artists we'll choose among the group members or not
- jury members won't be allowed to enter the contest

- THE CONTEST WILL START ON APRIL 1 AND WILL END ON APRIL 22 (included)
- submit your entry to the « 2014 spring contest » (the folder will open in a few minutes!)

Results:

Jury deliberations will stay off the record and their decision will not be opened to discussion.
Only the final results will be communicated in a special journal issue.

Jury members will have five days to choose the ten « best » images (in their humble opinion) and mark them from 1 to 10.

Results will be announced on Monday, April 28.

Prizes:

The five winning photos, marked from 1 to 5, will get prizes.

So far, prizes are:

photo 1   120 points (from Patrick) + 100 pts (from Rezzan) + 12 pts (from Lucila) + 20 pts (from Jacq)
photo 2   100 points (from Patrick) + 75 pts (from Rezzan) + 12 pts (from Lucila) + 20 pts (from Jacq)
photo 3     80 points (from Patrick) + 50 pts (from Rezzan) + 12 pts (from Lucila) + 20 pts (from Jacq)
photo 4     50 points (from Patrick) + 12 pts (from Lucila) + 20 pts (from Jacq)
photo 5     30 points (from Patrick) + 12 pts (from Lucila) + 20 pts (from Jacq)
